Word Power
Words. They have the power to edify, encourage, instruct, or
destroy. Words can demystify a complicated procedure or confuse
to the point of frustration. Fiery words, spewed in anger, leave
the hearer wounded and limping. Tender words, offered as comfort,
can heal a broken spirit. Simple words, spoken in love, are life
changing.
In this
age of abundant technology, we’re bombarded daily by
billions of words. From cellular phones to computers to mass
media, communication happens constantly. Most of us multi-task
with words swirling toward us like snowflakes in a blizzard.
As we sift a proliferation of words, we have the ability to process
and absorb what we hear, or ignore and reject words that are
not beneficial or don’t apply.
People
are constantly searching for words that bring enlightenment
and understanding. In an attempt to incorporate meaningful words
into their lives, they often find themselves bouncing from one
philosophy to the next with the hope of discovering what is accurate,
lasting, and true. Sadly, many often settle for an approach to
life that leaves them feeling rejected and empty.
As an author, my desire is to put forth words that clarify and
make practical the Word. I offer words that challenge and equip
others to handle life issues.
Perhaps
you have a desire to touch others with words but don’t
know how to begin the process. The “links” page on this website
will provide you with tools to get started. Join me as we take
this word journey together.
